The Sixth District Court Service Unit, with its main office located in the basement of the Hopewell Courts Facility Building in downtown Hopewell, provides the full array of mandated court service functions; as well as, the community-based alternatives to secure detention that include outreach and electronic monitoring services for delinquent defendants.
Additional community services include community-service work supervision, drug screening and counseling, parent support groups, and diversion programs for first time offenders.
The Emporia Office is also the site for the Family Violence Prevention Program, which is a grant-funded program, designed to meet the emergency and on-going needs of victims of domestic violence.
