The ASPiRE intervention program is designed to equip residents with the necessary tools to combat gang involvement, foster positive healthy relationships, develop and increase the use of pro-social skills, and promote a successful and productive life. This initiative is designed for residents who are currently housed at Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center and who have been identified as a suspected gang-involved youth, an associate of gang-involved youth, a gang-affiliated youth, or a validated gang member. Residents who qualify for this program must be ambivalent about change and have a high interest in participating. The program is comprised of three phases that the residents have the opportunity to advance their way through before successful completion of the program.
